This blog will mostly be the view from Rutland County, Vermont, my adopted home.
Most of the posts are reprints of articles published in Sam’s Good News. Sam Gorusso stopped by the library in the summer of 2016 to see if I was interested in writing a weekly column for him. It had been a while since I had done any writing and the scars of being fired for not being sufficiently related to the publisher of the Herald had worn off, so I happily agreed. In early 2017 I revived this blog as an online archive … Sam’s not having one.
There are also older columns on sports, book reviews and the occasional piece on Canada, politics & Etc.
